Contracts of employment / Staff handbooks

Absence Management

Sickness absence from work, whether long or short term, can cause a real headache for businesses large and small. We can help you manage absence effectively to keep disruption and costs to a minimum. We can support you with the following:

  • Ensuring that you have a good absence policy and processes in place which are effective for both the business and its employees which meet with requirements of the law.
  • Putting in place a robust return to work meeting structure
  • Supporting Managers in how to handle absences fairly and consistently.
  • How to work with reasonable adjustments such as phased return to work and workplace adaptations.

Investigations, Disciplinaries and Grievances

Investigations, Disciplinaries and Grievances are areas that business owners and Line Managers often find difficult to handle. We can provide advice and support to achieve the best outcomes with minimal risk working in the requirements of employment Law and best practice methods.

We can assist you with Disciplinary and Grievance matters on a case by case basis and provide support through coaching and by providing 121 or group masterclasses around handling these matters confidently.


Mediation is a method of resolving disputes between colleagues in the workplace which involves an independent mediator helping 2 or more employees reach a solution to an issue which is acceptable to all parties. Mediation can be a great way to address issues when the people involved want to reach a solution and can be a very effective method of addressing an issue that has the potential to become a grievance before it reaches that point.
